Course Overview
You will be taught in a range of different ways including practical
training sessions, training in our commercial restaurant Da Vinci. You will have
the opportunity to participate fully at evening functions. Theory based sessions
are part of your timetable to develop your knowledge and complete exams. You
will also have access to an online learning resources and activities which you
will complete independently.
Work Experience & Industry Placements
Industry Placement is part of the course and provides valuable experience in a real working environment
Qualification Gained
Level 2 Diploma in Professional cookery.
After The Course
You can progress on to Level 3 Advanced Professional cookery or onto a Food and Beverage service qualification.
What Will I Learn
You will develop the skills required to gain competence in methods of Professional Cookery and equipment use across a range of commodities.
English And Maths
You may be required to attend English and Maths classes as part of your study programme.

You will be taught by our highly trained industry professionals.
Teaching Learning and Assessment
You will be taught in a range of different settings and complete both practical and theory based activities. You will be assessed on your abilites at regular intervals throughout your course. You will complete both written and online based assessments as well as being observed developing your practical skills.

You will have regular tutorials to ensure you progress well on your programme.
Course Expenses
You will be required to purchase kit and uniform and have the opportunity to pay for educational visits.
How Will I Be Assessed
You will be assessed in the practical environment and will also be required to complete assignments and tests.
Entry Requirements
You can progress from the Level 1 Professional cookery qualification or demonstrate equivalent industry experience
